The Provincial Secretariat of Finance, in conformity with the law and the Statute, carries out tasks of the provincial administration in the area of finance and economics, as well as the budget and treasury related tasks, in conformity with the law.
Provincial Secretariat of Finance: carries out fiscal and macroeconomic analysis; monitors the system of public revenues and public expenditures, as well as the legislation by which they have been introduced and, if necessary, initiates their amendment; monitors the collection of public revenues in the territory of the AP Vojvodina and analyses the fiscal potential of municipalities and cities and reports to the Provincial Government; monitors and analyses the position of the region on the basis of economic and other indicators, cooperates with the National Agency for Regional Development and with regional development agencies; participates in interregional cooperation and cooperation with relevant territorial communities of other countries, with the aim of attracting foreign investments, obtaining donations and other forms of development assistance and coordinates activities in the field of providing, using and monitoring the implementation of investments and other forms of assistance.
The Provincial Secretariat of Finance conducts budget inspection control of legal and purposeful spending of budget funds of the AP Vojvodina; controls the application of the law in the field of material financial operations and the intended legal use of funds of beneficiaries of budget funds, organisations, companies, legal entities and other entities stipulated by the law, governing the budget system. The Provincial Secretariat of Finance prepares acts for the Assembly and the Provincial Government within its scope of competence and carries out other tasks, stipulated by the law, the Statute and other regulations.
