The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, in conformity with the law and the Statute, carries out tasks of the provincial administration in the fields of agriculture, water management, forestry, hunting, animal husbandry, aquaculture, bee-keeping and veterinary medicine, which refer to the preparation of acts for the Assembly or the Provincial Government by means of which: the programme of measures to support the implementation of the agricultural policy is adopted; the conditions and manner of distribution of funds earned from the agricultural land use are prescribed; a special budget into which the funds from the agricultural land use are directed, is established; a budget fund for water, forests and hunting is established; expert tasks aimed at improving agricultural production are defined; establish and take over agricultural extension services are established and taken over and founder’s rights thereof exercided; establish the forecasting-reporting services are established and the founder’s rights thereof exercised; terms of exports and imports of certain agricultural products are proposed to the competent Ministry; a long-term program of measures is adopted to implement the farming programme for the territory of AP Vojvodina, as well as the annual programme for its implementation; Scientific and Expert Animal Husbandry Council is established; regular and extraordinary measures of defence against external and internal waters are enacted, implemented and supervised; water resources and artificial and natural watercourses in the territory of the AP of Vojvodina are managed; planning documents in the field of integral water management are adopted; a public enterprise for water management in the territory of the AP of Vojvodina is established and the founder’s rights thereof exercised.
The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry also carries out tasks stipulated by the laws in the fields of agriculture, water management, forestry, hunting, animal husbandry, aquaculture, bee-keeping and veterinary medicine, when it is prescribed by these laws that such tasks should be conducted by the competent authority of the autonomous province.
The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry carries out as conferred those state administration, which have been conferred on the provincial administration authorities by the laws specified in Paragraph 2.
The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry receives and processes the documentation required for award of incentives and other funds from the AP of Vojvodina budget in the field of agriculture, forestry, hunting, water management and animal husbandry.
The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management carries out executive, expert and development tasks of the provincial administration and supervises the enforcement of regulations under Paragraph 1 of this Article. In the fields falling within its scope of work, it keeps track of, supervises and assists the work of public enterprises and public services founded by the AP of Vojvodina.
The Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry carries out other tasks conferred on it by the law, Provincial Assembly decision or other regulation.
